These instructions apply to both standard WordPress websites and Woocommerce websites.

How to Install Elementor Pro on WordPress
Once you have purchased a hosting provider, downloaded WordPress on the hosting, and have your Elementor Pro license active, the next essential step is to install Elementor Pro on your WordPress site.
Download your Elementor Pro ZIP file
- Got to "Billing"
- "Download ZIP"
Install Elementor Pro on WordPress
Follow these step-by-step instructions to easily install and activate Elementor Pro on your WordPress site.
Install Elementor Pro to your plugins directory
In your WordPress dashboard.
- Go to "Plugins".
- "Add New Plugin".
- "Upload Plugin".
- "Choose file".
- Add the Elementor Pro ZIP file and "Install Now".
- "Activate Plugin".
- Make sure to also install and activate the free Elementor core plugin.
- Continue to connect your account, and following the required steps.
Important WordPress settings
Make sure to configure these settings both in WordPress and Elementor Pro before you upload your Premade website.
Set your WordPress settings
In your WordPress dashboard.
- Delete all default content in pages and posts.
Make sure you are using the HTTPS protocol
In your WordPress dashboard.
- Go to "Settings", and make sure your url is secure (https)
Permalinks
In your WordPress settings, set your permalinks structure to “Post name”.
- In the permalinks settings. Set it to "Post name" and save settings.
Set your Elementor general settings
In your Elementor settings.
- In the Elementor "General" settings, disable the default theme settings and save.
Elementor advanced settings
Your Premade website includes SVG files so it is important to enable the “Unfiltered File Uploads”.
- Enable unfiltered file uploads. Save settings.
Set your Elementor featured settings
In your Elementor featured settings tab.
IMPORTANT: These features must be turned on for the websites to upload and function correctly.
- Make sure the following features are enabled: Nested Elements, Menu, Flexbox Containers, Grib Containers, and Taxonomy filter.
Uploading your niche website in a few clicks
Adding your Premade niche website is quick and easy. Just make sure that you follow these steps carefully.
Please note: You should only upload these Premade sites to a blank WordPress site. If you are uploading to an existing site, please make a backup before uploading.
Upload your Elementor Kit
Most of your website content is within the ZIP file named after the website niche.
- Go to Elementor "tools", head to the "Import/Export" tab and import your website ZIP file
Continue to follow the steps
Make sure to include everything so that you can benefit from all the website features and content.
- Add the ZIP file named "For Elementor" and follow the steps.

- Once the upload is complete, it should look something like this:
NOTE: If you get stuck on the download page, please close the window and upload the Elementor ZIP file again.
Activate plugins
Some plugins like Woocommerce require you to create an account so are not activated by default.
- Head to "Plugins" and activate all plugins.
Uploading your WordPress content
This is the part where you add the pre-configured Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) custom post types and fields that allow for a dynamic website.
Upload the XML file to WordPress
After uploading the website ZIP file in the previous step, you need to add the rest of your WordPress content files.
- In the WordPress "Tools" tab, select "Import".
NOTE: Please be patient as this may take a few minutes depending on the size of the site.
Assign the correct WordPress pages
Now that you have uploaded the WordPress file, it is important to make sure that WordPress knows what pages are which.
- In the WordPress "Settings" tab, select "Reading".
- (WOOCOMMERCE ONLY) In "Settings" tab, go to "Products", and select the "Shop" page
Remove the "uncategorized" categories
By default, WordPress includes an “uncategorized” category which you do not need. Let’s remove it.
- In "Categories", set any other category as default, and delete the uncategorized one.
This process applies to “Post” categories too.
IMPORTANT: Replace URLs
After uploading the website, you must replace the old URL with the new one (your URL).
- In Elementor tools, replace the old URL with your URL.
**Note: The old URL is provided to you after purchase.
(Recommended) Upload the bonus code snippets
As part of the bonus features, all premade websites come with code snippets for better functionality.
Upload the code snippets
You should have a plugin named “Code Snippets” in the WordPress dashboard.
- Hover on "Code Snippets" and click on "Tools". Upload the code snippets file. Then, activate all code snippets.
NOTE: Please be patient as this may take a few minutes depending on the size of the site.

Now that you have uploaded the WordPress file, it is important to make sure that WordPress knows what pages are which.
- In the WordPress "Settings" tab, select "Reading".

Make sure everything is set up correctly and working...
No WordPress process is perfect. Here is how you make sure all your settings, WordPress content, and Elementor pages/templates are working.
Check your WordPress settings
Make sure your WordPress settings are all good.
- Go to "Settings" and "Reading". Make sure your Home, Shop (for Woocommerce) Blog pages are set correctly.
- (Woocommerce) Make sure you "Shop" page is set correctly
Pages and sections are not displaying correctly
Sometimes, the Elementor pages/templates/sections/header/footer etc. are not displaying correctly. This can usually be easily fixed by simply “Saving Changes” in the Theme Builder.
- Head over to the Elementor "Theme Builder". Select a template and edit conditions.
Custom fonts are not displaying correctly
It may be that your custom fonts were not uploaded correctly during the process. This can easily be fixed by quickly adding them manually.
- Go to Elementor "Custom Fonts", select the font you wish to edit, and import the WOFF (or WOFF2) files manually from the "All Media Files" folder.
Important!
Always make sure to regenerate CSS files and data + Purge Cache after applying any of the above edits.
How to easily replace the WordPress media
Although you are free to use any of the included media files, you may decide to replace them with your own media content.
Activate the media replacement tool
The free included ASE plugin makes this extremely easy.
- Go to "Tools" and select "Enhancements". Activate the "Media Replacement" option. Save changes.
Replace your images directly in the WordPress Media folder
Now, you can easily replace your images from within the media folder in your WordPress dashboard.
- Head over to the Media folder. Select the image you want to replace. Go to "edit more details", and select the "Replace New Media" button. You can now proceed to upload a new image.
Pro tip: Use this tool to upload your images in WEBp format and keep them under 120kb in size.
